On 22nd December, a presentation of a new educational portal based on the TV-portal RST-TV took place in the auditorium of Voronezh State University main building.
The portal will contain video lectures of the courses which are read at all faculties in the majority of higher educational institutions in Voronezh. It is planned that at the end of the fee-paying courses participants are to obtain a certificate.
– The format of a virtual lecture is integral to the distance education system. It consists of three parts: theory, illustrations, and checking, e.g. a progress test. This system has no analogues in Russia. Sets of video lectures provide an opportunity for teachers to take their refresher courses distantly. Adapted versions of lectures can be also useful in pre-university training. We will be able to demonstrate a few pilot video courses as soon as March 2015, – said Assistant Professor of the Department of Ecology and Systematics of Invertebrates Natalia Panteleeva, who presented the portal system on behalf of VSU.
