Between 15 and 19 November, a delegation of Voronezh State University including Olga Boriskina, Dean of the Faculty of Romance and Germanic Philology, Dmitry Chugunov, professor at the Faculty of Philology, and Lyubov Kolesnikova, Head of the Academic Board, participated in the meeting of the international group working on the opening of a double bachelor’s degree programme “World Literature” held in Göttingen.
The students studying at the programme will be able to obtain both VSU and Göttingen diplomas.
The meeting included workshops and round table discussions participated in by the representatives of VSU, the University of Göttingen, Arizona State University (Tucson, USA), Shanghai Jiao Tong University (China), and Lvov University (Ukraine).
They discussed the notion of “world literature”, as it is used differently in Western and Eastern countries, as well as the organisational issues connected with the specifics of the national education systems.
