On 12 March, the event “Technopolis: a Vision of the Future” took place in the Saburov Hall. It was dedicated to the development of the concept of the Technopolis project, i.e. Educational and Scientific Centre of the University of Technopolis and Technopark of Technopolis. The goal of the meeting was to establish communication between universities, authorities, and the business community in order to create a shared vision of Tehcnopolis, its priority technological areas, industrial focus, potential partnerships, structure, and activities.
The meeting was organised by Khamin's Group of Companies, Voronezh State University, the Higher School of Economics, and the Association of Innovation and Technology Brokers. Among the participants of the event were representatives of federal and local state governmental authorities, universities, research institutions, and regional and federal business communities.
“The goal of the strategic session was to determine the most promising areas to be included in the Technopolis project. The participants had to solve well defined tasks. On the one hand, they needed to understand which projects universities could present at Technolpolis and what they could offer to the business community. On the other hand, they had to learn about the demands of the industry and the tasks and issues that are on the agenda today. The organisation of such a platform fits the National project “Science” that involves establishing active and efficient cooperation between industrial partners and universities aimed at the creation of breakthrough technologies and projects for a specified customer,” said Vice Rector for Research and Innovations of Voronezh State University, Oleg Kozaderov.
Prior to the strategic session, a panel discussion took place at Voronezh State University on 11 March. Among the participants of the meeting were representatives of the Higher School of Economics, the Association of Innovation and Technology Brokers, and the Hamin Group of Companies. The event was dedicated to the discussion of issues connected with the establishment of the new research centre.
