On January 26, diplomas were awarded to the graduates of the part-time and extramural master’s degree programmes in Economics and Management of the Faculty of Economics. The ceremony was opened by Dmitry Endovitsky, Rector of VSU, and Igor Banin, Minister of Health of the Voronezh Region.
“You have come a long way towards your goal: the path of education is never easy. Your education combines two opposite spheres: finance and healthcare. From the financial point of view, your task is to ensure that the healthcare system is as sustainable as possible. I have no doubt that you will become worthy successors of the great traditions of Voronezh State University,” said Igor Banin, addressing the graduates.
The graduates were congratulated by Pavel Kanapukhin, DSc in Economics, Dean of the Faculty of Economics; Yuri Treshchevsky, DSc in Economics, Head of the Department of Economics and Management of Organisations, coordinator of the “Modern Management Technologies” programme; Larisa Nikitina, DSc in Economics, coordinator of the “Healthcare Management” programme; Irina Shchepina, DSc in Economics, head of the “Quantitative Analysis of Financial Markets” programme; Natalia Sapozhnikova, DSc in Economics, Head of the Department of Economic Security and Accounting, and Larisa Korobeinikova, Vice-Rector for Economics and Contract Service, Head of the Department of Economic Analysis and Audit.
“Do not forget your research supervisors who put their hearts in you, helped you, guided your scientific activities,” wished Dmitry Endovitsky, Rector of VSU.
Larisa Korobeinikova noted that the Faculty of Economics has a high status not only in the region and the country, but also abroad. According to her, completing a master’s programme opens up a huge field of new competences and gives an opportunity to develop more rapidly in the profession.
“The Faculty of Economics is notable for its remarkable graduates. Among them, masters occupy a special place. Master’s status is a new level of your career and life,” added Pavel Kanapukhin.
