At the end of April Voronezh State University delegation consisting of Vice-Rector Oleg N. Belenov (Economic Development and International Cooperation), Dean of the Economical Department Pavel A. Kanapukhin, Dean of the Department of Romance and Germanic Philology Natalya A. Phenenko and assistant professor Tatyana N. Philippova visited the University of Coimbra (CU), Portugal. The main objective of the event was the discussion of the prospects and arrangements under present Memorandum of Cooperation between VSU and CU.
During the visit the meeting with Vice-Rector for Economic Development and International Cooperation of CU J.R. Carvelho, Dean of the Arts Department J.P. Paiva, coordinator of International Relations Department L. Simau and Head of Russian Studies Center Vladimir I. Plyasov was held. During the meeting further cooperation was discussed.
The agreement was reached to continue cooperation with the Arts Department and International Relations Department of the Economical Faculty (academic mobility) as follows:
- student exchange (Portuguese courses for Russian students at CU and the Russian language courses for CU students at VSU);
- trainings for language teachers of VSU at CU;
- providing VSU with academic literature and works published in Portugal in order to establish Portuguese Language and Culture Centre at VSU.
