The Department of Romance and Germanic Philology of Voronezh State University is actively involved in implementing the TEMPUS project on "Modernising European Language Teaching through the Introduction of Online Technologies in the Process of Teacher Training" (544161-TEMPUS-1-2013-1-UK-TEMPUS-JPCR Aston University «Developing the Teaching of European Languages: Modernising Language Teaching through the development of blended Masters Programmes»).
At the end of October and the beginning of November, the project participants completed their internships at partner universities: Aston University (Great Britain, Birmingham), University of Caen Lower Normandy (France), and Freiburg University of Education (Germany).
The internships are mainly aimed at developing the structure of the Master's programme created as part of the project and discussing the contents of its components. They also included the analysis of the practical aspects of the Master's programme contents implementation, the key principles of contents structuring at the stage of preparing the learning and teaching materials based on the Moodle virtual educational environment, as well as the distinctive features of students' unsupervised and group work organization within the framework of blended learning using Web 2.0 technologies. In addition, practical classes on preparing Moodle-based electronic teaching materials were organized.
