On 15th February, Voronezh Rehabilitation Centre for Children and teenagers Parus Nadezhdy housed the second stage of the fundraising festival Children for Children organised by the Voronezh regional branch of Russian Children's Foundation, Dobrosvet foundation, Voronezh State University and other organisations.
VSU's Department of Pre-University Work has been involved in the fund raising festival Children for Children from its very first days. It has helped organise the festival, engage students and school children to take part as volunteers and has assisted the festival in many other ways.
Children had a chance to watch cartoons created by children, among others by children who are undergoing treatment at the oncohaematology department of Voronezh regional children's clinical hospital №1. The children were taught the basics of clay animation right in their wards.
In addition to cartoons and competitions, the rehabilitation centre Parus Nadezhdy held a craft fair. The funds raised at the festival will be handed over to the oncohaematology department of the children's clinical hospital.
It should also be mentioned that the day for holding the festival was chosen for a reason. 15th February is World Cancer Day.
