Second year students of the Faculty of Applied Mathematics, Informatics and Mechanics Denis Krashykh, Dmitry Novosadov, Vladimir Kovrizhkin, Aleksandra Sumina, Sergey Kalyadin and a second year student of the Faculty of Computer Sciences Vladislav Rybin took the first prize in the Russian national English videos contest «Teaching Tolerance and Celebrating Diversity through Video» in the category "The best video made by students of non-linguistic universities".
The contest was organised by the National Association of the Russian teachers of English in the framework of the project "Appreciating Diversity". The main goal of the project was to nurture respect of other cultures and their representatives by means of teaching foreign languages and cultures.
