In June 2013, Voronezh State University signed a collaboration agreement with University Lille 1: Sciences and Technologies (Villeneuve d'Ascq, France). Since that moment, the two partner universities have been taking part in joint academic conferences and joint publication, as well as cotutelle agreements, and student and staff exchange programmes.
Two third-year students of the Faculty of Romance and Germanic Philology specializing in theory and methodology of foreign language teaching Ksenia Kuzmina and Viktoria Makarenko undertook courses of study at Lille University between 6th January and 1st June 2015. Both of the students studied at the Sciences Economiques et de Management Faculty, and completed courses in the following subjects: Anglais, Management des Organisations, Marketing, Théorie des Organisations, Conférence de Méthode Economique (grade 16 out of 20), Français: (grade 18 out of 20), Ancien Français, Français appliqué à la traduction. Apart from the basic courses, the students also finished extra French language classes (level C1–C2).
