On 16th June, Dr Susan Garton, the main coordinator of the Tempus project on "Modernising European Language Teaching through the Introduction of Online Technologies in the Process of Teacher Training" (544161-TEMPUS-1-2013-1-UK-TEMPUS-JPCR Aston University «Developing the Teaching of European Languages: Modernising Language Teaching through the development of blended Master Programmes»), Head of the Department of Master's Degree Programmes in Linguistics of Aston University (Birmingham, Great Britain), who had recently visited Voronezh State University, received the National Teaching Fellowship Award for her outstanding contribution to the development of higher education. This award, currently only held by 55 British scholars, has become a recognition of Dr Garton's scientific, pedagogical, and organizational achievements in linguistic education. Voronezh State University administration would like to offer congratulations to Dr Garton and wish her further success in her professional career.
The Voronezh State University Tempus working group taking part in the project as a consortium of ten universities of Russia, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Great Britain, France, and Germany, would also like to offer congratulations to the main coordinator of the project Dr Susan Garton on receiving an important award from the Higher Education Academy of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. The scholar's contribution to the development of linguistic education both in Britain and internationally has received the much-deserved recognition.
