On 22nd June, at 4 o'clock in the morning, the students of Voronezh State University gathered in Victory Square in order to light their candles in memory of those who gave their lives for us to have a future.
At the same time, another group of students laid flowers on the bed of honour at Chizhovka and made the date "22.06" out of burning candles.
After that, there was a memorial mass meeting dedicated to the day when the Great Patriotic War started at the memorial sign to the students and staff members of Voronezh State University killed in action when fighting for their motherland.
There was a minute of silence in tribute to the memory of the fallen, and then flowers were laid at the memorial sign.
