Our university has become the winner of the open competition of the Fund for Infrastructure and Educational Programmes (RUSNANO). The competition was dedicated to working out of a continuing professional development programme of further education in the field of modern methods of control and analysis of surface characteristics of nanotechnology-based products and construction materials. Total financing is 7.2 mln roubles.
The project will not only allow attraction of financing to the university but will also favour development of mechanisms of scientific and innovative and practical activity, consulting and other services. According to the terms of the competition, Voronezh State University and the Fund for Infrastructure and Educational Programmes (RUSNANO) enter into agreement under which RUSNANO finances the programme development and the company Turbanasos that launched the competition finances training of its employees (at least 50% of total amount of the agreement).
The project will be supervised by the Head of the Department of Mathematical Modelling of the Faculty of Mathematics Dr.Sc. in Mathematics and Physics, Professor Vladimir Kostin. Traditionally, VSU participation in the RUSNANO competition was initiated and organised by the Department of Innovations and Enterprise Management headed by the VSU Vice-Rector for Innovations and Technology Commercialization Tatiana Davydenko. A major contribution to the preparation of the university application was made by the Associate Professors Viktor Vakhtel, Aleksei Prizhimov and Dmitry Kostin.
It has been the fourth time that Voronezh State University won a competition of the Fund for Infrastructure and Educational Programmes (RUSNANO). In 2012–2014 our researchers implemented three projects dedicated to development and implementation of further training programmes in the field of nanotechnologies. Total funding was over 25 million roubles and total amount of the university innovation and research financing is over 400 million roubles annually.
