On September 23 and 24, Prof. Viacheslav Kuznetsov from the Department of High Molecular Compounds and Colloids of the VSU Faculty of Chemistry and Maria Lavlinskaya, a PhD student, took part in the Third International Conference "Polymer materials contest – 2015" held by Rubber Valley Co., Ltd in Qingdao, China, where Maria Lavlinskaya was awarded a special prize for her report.
The programme of the conference also included meetings with the President and the senior managers of Rubber Valley Co. Ltd. discussing the possibilities of further partnership between the company and our university. The parties agreed to establish a joint research and education centre where academics and scientists from VSU and the Voronezh branch of Research Institute for Synthetic Rubber could work together. An agreement was also signed for specialists from China to study in the master's degree programme "High Molecular Compounds chemistry" at the Faculty of Chemistry.
A strategic collaboration agreement between VSU and Rubber Valley Co., Ltd. was signed in October 2014, during the international CIRI Expo Qingdao 2014 exhibition.
