On October 22nd, the Ethnographic Museum of the Faculty of Philology held the first Russian evening.
All participants were offered a tour of the museum's collection telling about Russian folk culture. After that there was a master-class in making a traditional rag doll, a traditional tea with samovar, and a photo competition. The participants included students from the Faculty of Romance and Germanic Philology, the Faculty of Biology, the Faculty of Physics, as well as students from the Voronezh State Pedagogic University, and the Namos college.
The organisers did their best to create a welcoming atmosphere and amuse the guests. They also invited a traditional folk team – Terem.
