Starting with the 2015–2016 academic year, VSU offers its international students courses taught in English in the following areas: economics, history, politics, psychology, and ethics.
Courses in English have been taught at VSU since 2011, within the framework of the double master's degree programme "Business in the Emerging Markets" run jointly with the Joanneum University of Applied Sciences in Graz, Austria.
In 2013, the University launched a new project – «Academic English» – for teachers and lecturers. Over 40 faculty members of 11 faculties have already taken part in it. The project includes courses on making presentations and the specifics of the English academic communication. At the end of the course, each participant had to give a lecture in English on the subject they teach. There are now over 100 courses in English for international students.
This term students coming from Iceland, Germany, France, and other European and Asian countries can choose from the following courses in English – History of Russia, Conflict Resolution and Negotiation, Compliance in emerging markets, Distribution and Sales Management, International Finance, Leadership and HR in Emerging Markets, М&А in Emerging Markets, etc.
This enables us to create an international image of a university that can run double degree programmes, which is a new level demonstrating the quality of education at VSU.
