On October 28th, a French delegation including the French Counsellor of International Economics, the president of the international commission MEDEF Philippe Verbert, the director of the MBA Management programme at the HEC Paris Charles Berger, and the manager of the Business Bridge project Natalia Lanceraux, visited the university. The visit began with the meeting between the French delegation and the VSU's Rector Dmitry Endovitsky.
– “Russia and France are getting closer these days. And it is of great importance to establish partnerships between Russian and French universities, so this visit is very significant. We have been working with French universities on the partnership projects and discussing the prospects of a joint double diploma master's degree programme in economics”, – said Dmitry Endovitsky.
Mr Verbert pointed out that the relations between French and Russian universities are developing fast now, and that partner-universities have to discuss a lot of practical issues in order to coordinate the implementation of the joint master's programmes.
– “When I became the director of the MBA Management programme at the HEC Paris, my task was to maintain the quality of the education at our university and to further improve it. My opinion of the quality of education in Russia (particularly in the sphere of Science) is very high, and I am glad we will be working together on joint master's programmes. And of course, the intellectual and philosophic bond between our nations will make our collaboration most fruitful” – said Charles Berger.
– “We've been working together with French universities for many years, and I think there will be no barriers that could prevent us from developing a joint education programme. The problem that we will face first is that of the PR campaign for the new double diploma programme. Like in any business, we need a pilot group that will demonstrate all the advantages and benefits of our programme. And we should focus not just on the Voronezh Region, but rather on cross-regional collaboration. And for this we need online learning technologies that will allow people from various parts of our large country to attend the programme” – said Dmitry Endovitsky.
The meeting resulted in a partnership agreement between Voronezh State University and High Institute of Commerce of Paris.
The parties also discussed some of the most urgent issues and details of the joint master's degree programme.
