On 24th March, representatives of the companies RIAN and Epson visited Voronezh State University. They met the Rector Dmitry Endovitsky and the Vice-Rector for Economic Development and International Cooperation Oleg Belenov. Among other participants of the event were the Dean of the Faculty of Computer Sciences Eduard Algazinov, the Dean of the Faculty of Applied Mathematics, Informatics and Mechanics of VSU Alexandr Shashkin, the Head of an innovative business incubator Alexandr Khvan, and the Head of the Information Technology Administration Alexey Prokhorchenko.
Dmitry Endovitsky started the meeting by telling the guests about the history of VSU, its achievements, international activity, and its cooperation with leading IT companies.
‘We are very pleased to see that the Voronezh region has a university with such a great history and international reputation. We hope that our meeting will strengthen the partnership between the university and the business community,’ said RIAN Strategic Development Director Dmitry Luchnikov.
The Head of Epson’s Moscow office in Russia and representative in CIS Yevgeny Dzhaksimov told the participants of the meeting about the company he represented, its products and opportunities for cooperation between Epson and VSU.
At the end of the meeting Dmitry Endovitsky and Dmitry Luchnikov concluded an agreement for cooperation between VSU and RIAN.
After the meeting the guests visited research laboratories of the Faculty of Computer Science and the Faculty of Applied Mathematics, Informatics and Mechanics.
