On 27 May, a meeting between the participants of the acting Jean Monnet grants and the Delegation of the European Union took place in Moscow. According to the results of 2015 contest, Voronezh State University received three projects in the framework of this programme. The meeting was organised by representatives of the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency of the European Commission (EACEA, Brussels), National Erasmus+ Office in Russia, and the delegation of the European Union in Russia.
At the meeting, VSU was represented by the heads of Jean Monnet projects: Elena Alexeyeva, the Head of the Department of French Philology of the Faculty of Romance and Germanic Philology (the Educational Module“European Identity in Terms of Language Policy of the European Union”), Dmitry Galushko, Associate Professor of the Department of International and European Law of the Law Faculty (the Educational Module"EU Legal Approximation in Russia"), Alla Akulshina, Director of International Project and Programme Centre (the Research Project "European Approach or Russia: For and Against").
The agenda of the meeting included issues of grants implementation, preparation of financial statements, and presentation of positive experience of Russian universities’ participation in European projects by the example of the four most active educational institutions. For instance, Alla Akulshina presented the experience of Voronezh State University of preparation and implementation of European projects.
VSU is a leading university in the area of international educational and research projects implementation. At present, VSU is involved in 16 international projects: 10 Erasmus+ projects, three Tempus projects, two projects of the Seventh Framework Programme of the European Union, and one Erasmus Mundus project.
VSU submitted 26 applications for the last Erasmus+ competition , including ten applications for Jean Monnet Actions. In the end of August we are expecting new European projects.
