On 19 November, a JavaDay conference was held at VSU. It was the sixth time that Java developers had gathered to exchange experience and discuss popular areas and the most recent trends in programming. The conference was organised by the Faculty of Applied Mathematics, Informatics, and Mechanics together with the company, DataArt. It is the key event for everyone interested in Java, as the experts here talk about the latest achievements and trends in the world of Java development.

The conference was opened by Konstantin Fedudinov, vice dean of the Faculty of Applied Mathematics, Informatics, and Mechanics, and Elena Fyodorova, public relations director at DataArt.

Over the last five years, the conference has been attended by hundreds of developers. Many of them first came to the conference as beginners, and now they are senior programmers with a lot of experience. This year, 300 participants came to the conference, and over 1000 people watched it online.

Among the experts of the conference were Ilia Lukyanovich, Senior Java Developer and teacher at the DataArt Java School, Alexander Tarasov and Kirill Tolkachev, an architect and a senior developer at “Alfa-laboratory”, and Arseny Zhizhelev, senior Scala developer, architect, and director of “Primetalk”. They told the audience about their own experiences and answered questions.
