The European Scientific-Industrial Chamber has published the international Academic Ranking of World Universities – European Standard ARES–2017. Voronezh State University once again demonstrated the high quality of its work and entered the A category (High quality performance) of the ranking.
The goal of the ARES–2107 ranking is to evaluate ability of universities to provide their students with the necessary knowledge, opportunities to communicate with prospective employers, and to conduct research. The ranking is processed by computers. Therefore it can not be affected by human factors.
It distributes universities between three categories:
- A Category (AAA, AA+, AА, А+, А): high quality performance (high level of teaching, research and graduate employability)
- B Category (BBB+, BBB, BB+, BB, B+, B): good quality performance (reliable level of teaching, research and graduate employability)
- C Category (CCC+, CCC, CC+, CC, C+, C): sufficient quality performance (sufficient level of teaching, research and graduate employability)
- D Category (DDD+, DDD, DD+, DD, D+, D): conditional failure (inadequate level of teaching, research, and graduate employability).
