Scientists from Voronezh State University are actively involved in research and publish its results in Russian and international journals reviewed by the State Commission for Academic Degrees and Titles. Postgraduate students also take part in this activity.
The journal “Environment International” has published an article by a postgraduate student from the Department of Solid-State Physics and Nanostructures of the Faculty of Physics, Svyatoslav Avilov, “Improving the prediction of environmental fate of engineered nanomaterials by fractal modelling”. The journal’s impact factor is 7.729.
“My article suggests new ways to classify and describe nanomaterials which are produced all over world today. I am happy that the methods which I have developed at VSU can be used in practice. Scientists from Italy are currently studying risks of nanotechnologies and are trying to reveal their environmental dangers and my research has become very timely for them,” said Svyatoslav Avilov.
