On 28 September, Voronezh State University opened a new meeting room equipped with modern multimedia equipment. It will allow the university to hold video conferences at a high level with the help of latest technologies. The university received this present for its 100th anniversary from its graduate, General Director of OOO Region-Terminal, Nadezhda Mazalova.
The new multimedia equipment was presented by the Head of the Information Technology Administration, Alexey Prokhorchenko. He explained the specifications of the device and emphasised that it has a number of advantages – clear sound, an embedded videoconferencing system with a big screen and a wide view angle. It also can be used to record the events and broadcasts.
Nadezhda Mazalova is a graduate of the Faculty of Economics of Voronezh State University. She said that the university was a good start for her career:
“Before I entered Voronezh State University, I already had a degree in industry planning. In the beginning of 1990ies, our company entered the market and I needed to adjust to the situation. Then, I entered the Faculty of Economics at Voronezh State University where I studied accounting. I also took a certification course in professional accountancy at VSU”.
She has been involved in charity for a number of years. At first, she offered targeted aid. Later, Region-Terminal started to cooperate with regional authorities in charity activities.
“When I learnt about the university’s 100th anniversary and the ambitious celebration program, I wanted to make my own contribution. Why have I chosen this equipment? I like being in the forefront of new technologies, it’s my job. I have an affiliated network and I understand how important means of communications are to administrate an organisation. If contacts are not established, the communication between partners also fails. And it is a great disadvantage when it comes to management decisions. That is why I would like to give the university a present like this. This equipment will be useful for the university both in the educational process and in cooperation with its partners.
