The results of the open competition of projects for the development of the Strategy of Social and Economic Development for the Voronezh Region up to 2035 have been announced. Among the competitors there were 7 organisations – Centre of Advanced Economic Research in the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan; Institute of Management, Marketing, and Finance; National Research University Higher School of Economics; Ural State University of Economics; South Ural State University; Voronezh State University; and the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration. Voronezh State University won the contract for the development of the strategy. The contract price is 2 million roubles.
The aim of the 2035 Strategy is to preserve the objectives and preferences of the present strategy. The experts will be required to assess, whether the present objectives of social and economic development of Voronezh have been achieved, and evaluate the probability of their fulfilment in the future. They should then use this data in order to determine the goals, preferences and objectives of the development of Voronezh up to 2035. The strategic aims and objectives should comply with the objectives of social and economic development of the region and the country. The possible long-term scenario of the development of the region with all the alternative ways will also be developed.
