Voronezh State University held the traditional Maslenitsa festival. This joyful event is very popular among the students and staff of the university.
This year, the folk music group “Terem”, run by the Faculty of Philology, organised a customary festivity with circle dancing, singing, and other common Maslenitsa entertainments.
The celebration also included the traditional ceremony when Lady Maslenitsa was put to the flames. The participants could also try the traditional food – pancakes with sour cream and honey.
