Students from Austria, America, Vietnam, China, Japan, and Uzbekistan and volunteers from Buddy Club VSU visited the Argamach archaeological park in the Yelets region. The international students had a chance to see the unique historical museum that is situated in the park. They also saw modern yurts (a kind of nomandic tent), took part in interactive master classes where they learnt how to make traditional Russian leather and clay goods and straw men and master woodcarving. The guests also celebrated the Maslenitsa festival. They really enjoyed the equestrian performance and the ceremony when Lady Maslenitsa was put to the flames.
The student council of hall of residence №4 said goodbye to winter too. The celebration was organised by the activists of the hall of residence. The students prepared legends about Maslenitsa, made pancakes and ukha, a traditional Russian fish soup. The visitors could take part in traditional circle dancing and sing songs from their childhood.
