On 19 March, a one-person exhibition “Modern Art Space” of a well-known Voronezh artist Kseniya Tarakanova was opened at the Main Building of Voronezh State University. There are 40 very colourful and interesting paintings on display. Using various colours is a characteristic feature of Kseniya Tarakanova's works.
The opening ceremony was attended by the university’s students and staff. The rector of VSU, Professor Dmitry Endovitsky, welcomed the participants of the event:
“I believe that an artist should break our emotional balance. Kseniya Tarakanova's exhibition provokes thoughts. You can’t help coming to see her wonderful pictures time and again, as they are filled with light and love.”
Kseniya Tarakanova graduated from Voronezh Arts College and the Gerasimov Institute of Cinematography. She has also completed an internship at Cite des Arts in Paris. Kseniya is a member of an organisation for cultural and business partnership with India. She has organised a series of plain-air tours, as well as exhibitions and master classes at the Roerich Museum in Nagar.
The artist has been included in the “Culture and Arts” section of the Swiss book of successful people “Who is who in Russia”. She was also awarded an Order for the Service to Art of second degree for her work at the Charity Foundation “Mir Dobra” together with the International Academy of Culture and Art.
Kseniya Tarakanova has created over 1000 paintings that are on display at the Kramskoy Voronezh regional art museum, the museums in Montenegro and India, the International Fund “Cultural Heritage”, the Fund for Art Promotion, the Moscow Duma, embassies and consulates of various countries, as well as private collections in Russia, Israel, England, Switzerland, Hungary, the USA, India, Austria, Italy, Belgium, and Greece.
