Between 15 and 16 March, the final of the VIII International Student Programming Championship was held in Minsk by the Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics. The championship is traditionally held in the ACM format. Each team had a computer and 5 hours to solve 11–12 problems in English. The competitors were teams from Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, Lithuania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Romania, Brazil, Canada, and Turkey.
42 teams took part in the final, including the team of Voronezh State University – a PhD student of the Faculty of Applied Mathematics, Informatics, and Mechanics Sergey Babkin, a master’s degree student of the Faculty of Computer Sciences Mikhail Zemlyanukhin, and a student of the Faculty of Applied Mathematics, Informatics, and Mechanics Alexey Zolotukhin. Our team showed good results and was awarded the third degree diploma.
