On 29 March, a traditional competition among female students “Miss Institute of International Education 2018” was held by the Leisure and Culture Centre of the Institute of International Education of Voronezh State University. This year the competition was included in the framework of events for international students dedicated to the 100th anniversary of VSU.
The contestants were six students from Zambia, Japan, Benin, Mongolia, Austria, and China. They had to complete several tasks in Russian, demonstrate their sports skills, perform national dances and songs, and recite Russian poems as well as sing songs in Russian and dance Russian folk dances. The audience welcomed the contestants with a warm applause. Among the guests were representatives of the national folk group “Nadezhda”, and the oriental dancing group “Lakshmi”, who are on friendly terms with VSU international students. The impartial jury assessed the performances and awarded the title “Miss Institute of International Education 2018” to the student form Mongolia Shinetsecah Geralhuu.
