On 28 May, a presentation of the Mail.Ru Group’s project “MRG Ambassadors” was held at Voronezh State University.

Sergey Mardanov, director for interactions with universities at Mail.Ru Group, told students about the company and its new project. The presentation was held in an interactive way and all the participants could ask questions.

“Mail.Ru Group is one of the largest companies on the IT market. Partnership with this company means a lot for VSU. The project MRG Ambassadors will help students to develop their communication skills and give them an opportunity to find a job at the company”, – said VSU rector Dmitry Endovitsky.

The most active and determined students, PhD students, and young staff members may be selected as official representatives of the university at Mail.Ru. The year of study, faculty, or speciality do not matter. Ambassadors should not necessarily be students of IT programmes, they may be students of humanities and other science programmes as well.

The ambassadors’ job will be to inform students about the products and business activities of the company, as well as about vacancies available at Mail.Ru Group. This will give the project’s participants a unique chance to find a job at the company, develop their IT skills, and share information with friends.

“The MRG Ambassadors programme is a new initiative especially designed for regional universities. The objective of the programme is to promote the company and its products, train highly qualified specialists at regional universities by means of various academic projects, and create a professional community of people who will promote technological progress in the IT area among young people”, – said Sergey Mardanov.

After completing the one-year MRG Ambassadors programme, the participants will be invited to the Moscow office of Mail.Ru Group to take part in a series of business training sessions. There they will also have the opportunity to meet the company’s top managers and get a job offer.

In April, Voronezh State University and Mail.Ru Group signed a partnership agreement. VSU is the first regional university partner of Mail.Ru Group.
