On 17 September, the reading hall of the Faculty of Law of Voronezh State University hosted a round table discussion “Local Government Home Rule in the Context of Legal, Management, and Political Culture”, which was organised by the coordinator of the cooperation agreement between VSU and Goce Delcev University (Macedonia), Professor Natalia Butusova. The participants of the meeting included representatives of the Macedonian university who took part in the celebrations of VSU’s centenary.
The Dean of the Faculty of Law, Yury Starilov, welcomed the participants of the round table discussion. The representatives of the Faculty of Law and the Department of Sociology and Politology who took part in a comparative study, undergraduate and postgraduate students from the Faculty of Law, and Macedonian colleagues discussed pressing issues regarding the need to increase political, legal, and management culture in order to engage citizens in local government.
The representatives of the Macedonian university, Associate Professors Kristina Misheva, Maria Ampovska, Kostadin Golakov, and VSU’s coordinator of the agreement, Natalia Butusova, discussed possibilities of further cooperation with the Dean of the Faculty of Law of VSU, Yury Starilov. During the meeting with the Vice-Rector and Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Vasily Popov, the participants outlined specific areas for enhanced cooperation between our universities.
