On 29 of November, a picture exhibition by a member of the Union of Russian Artists, Yana Pankratova, was opened in the second-floor hall of the main building. The exhibition includes still-life and landscape paintings of various parts of our country – the Voronezh Region, Sochi, and Lake Baikal.
Yana Pankratova has been painting since she was a little girl. It was her father, Viktor Pankratov, a poet and the secretary of the regional division of the Union of Russian Artists, who encouraged her and asked to draw “books for little elves so that they could have a laugh too”.
Yana graduated from the Faculty of Economics of VSU in 1991 with a degree in industry planning. In 2000 she graduated from Voronezh Arts College with a degree in environmental design. She also studied at Voronezh State Art Institute and attended classes at Repin Saint Petersburg State Academic Institute. For the last ten years Yana Pankratova has been teaching drawing and painting at Voronezh Arts College. She is a member of the Union of Russian Artists and has taken part in several regional exhibitions.
