On 8 February, on the Day of Russian Science, the Government of the Voronezh region concluded the results of the annual competition of innovative projects “Innovation Cup”. The Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Voronezh Region, Artem Verkhovtsev, awarded the winners with prizes.
“Today, the cooperation with universities is the key trend in the process of establishment of innovative development centres. Universities play a significant role in the development of new technologies and the intellectual property market in the Voronezh region. Higher institutions contribute to the support of the invention and innovative activities in the region on the higher level,” said Artem Verkhovtsev in his welcoming speech.
The winner of the Innovation Cup was Associate Professor from the Department of Analytical Chemistry at the Faculty of Chemistry of Voronezh State University, Anna Parshina. She proposed a project to develop multisensor systems for express analysis of food, pharmaceutical, medical products, and industrial-municipal wastewater. The third prize went to the engineer from the Fundamental Department of Additive Technology, Elena Popova, for the project dedicated to the advanced colour sorting machine SapsanMicro for small and medium size agricultural and food industry businesses.
