On 9 February, the First Steps presentation session took place at the Voronezh State University where the participants of the Innovation League presented their innovative projects. The young researchers presented their ideas and received valuable advice from their curators.
Members of the team from Lyceum № 1 told us about the origin of their project:
“We are into aircraft. When we were thinking of an idea for the project what we had in mind was aircraft. So we came up with multifunctional pilotless aircraft. Our project is based on the latest technologies that make it possible to create a small-sized copter which is really important for landing in the city.”
The jury found the development of the schoolchildren quite impressive. This is the first presentation session for the participants. However, now, they will take part in the semifinal and the final competitions.
“The time for the development of the project was limited. And I was really delighted with the results. The natural science projects were of particular interest: the participants had valuable ideas which were really worth developing. IT projects were of different quality: some were really strong, others needed further investigation. It was clear that the participants used the skills they had acquired during previous events of the project. They considered all the recommendation they had received. Most importantly, it is obvious that the projects are developing as well as the researchers. I hope that after having worked with qualified supervisors the schoolchildren will be able to improve their projects to such extend that they could be transformed into start-ups,” said the Head of the VSU Department of Innovations and Enterprise Management and the curator of the Physics and Mathematics field, Dmitry Zhukalin.
During the second part of the event, the participants learnt about time management. The speaker told them about the key principles of time management and time management techniques and methods and explained how to organise your time to enhance your efficiency and performance.
The next training session in the framework of the Innovation League will take place on 16 March. The participants will have a lecture about business modelling.
