Voronezh State University entered the international Academic Ranking of World Universities – European Standard ARES – 2019. It took 20th place among over 190 Russian universities. VSU was assigned A+ category.
ARES helps to evaluate the ability of universities to provide students with the necessary knowledge, possibilities to carry out research and communicate with future employers. This ranking takes into account the following indicators: research, international cooperation, employers' demand for graduates, informatisation, international recognition of the academic staff, cooperation with employers, membership in European Academies of Science, awards by subdivisions of the European Chamber of Commerce and the European Commission. The ranking can't be affected by human factors and is processed by computers.
Caterogry A is assigned to universities that demonstrate a high level of teaching, research activities, and employers' demand for graduates.
This year three more Voronezh universities entered the ranking: Voronezh State Technical University (38th position, category BBB+), Burdenko Voronezh State Medical University (48th position, category BBB), and Morozov Voronezh State Forestry Engineering University (174th position, category CC).
