Between 25 and 27 April, Vladimir Potanin Foundation held the conference "Master's Degree Programmes++". Programming the Education of the Future" at Saint Petersburg University of Information Technologies, Mechanics, and Optics. Voronezh State University was represented at the event by the director of the Centre for German Political Studies, Associate Professor Sofia Dmitrieva from the Department of International Relations and World Politics at the Faculty of International Relations.
The conference was divided into three parts. The first part involved communication with the winners of the Vladimir Potanin Foundation grant contest 2018–2019. There were several expert and discussion panels, an interactive section "Formats" dedicated to the discussion of educational cases. The theme for the second day was interdisciplinary approach and digitizing of the educational environment. The participants discussed the Russian experience of master's degree programmes development and presented successful examples from abroad. There were sections dedicated to digital infrastructure, pedagogical design and communication in the context of programmes' promotion. On the third day of the conference, development opportunities and prospects for master's degree programmes in Russia were discussed.
We should also mention the high level of the conference. The participants were pleased with the intensive programme, the variety of formats, and the high value of expert opinions. The organisation of the event was definitely among the strong points of the conference.
