The first examination in the framework of a pilot project aimed at the integration of state examination with instruments of independent assessment of qualifications "Introduction to a career" was held in the VSU's Internet Centre.
41 fourth year bachelor students were assessed according to three professional standards and five professional qualifications in the area of nanoindustry. They had to confirm their qualifications in engineering of nanoscale electromechanical systems, quantum electronics, and photonics.
The Examination Centre was founded in VSU in February 2018 at the Department of Semiconductor Physics and Microelectronics at the Faculty of Physics. The organisational and methodological management of the VSU's Examination Centre is provided by the Centre of nanoindustry qualifications assessment at the Research Institute of Molecular Electronics supported by the Fund for Infrastructure and Educational Programmes, RUSNANO.
"Integration of professional education with the real sector of economy is very timely. Professional testing is an effective tool that helps students to apply the fundamental education that they have received at the university in real high-tech production. It is important that such testing is demanded by enterprises in the first place. I am glad that the first and only examination centre in the area of nanoindustry in Voronezh was launched at VSU," said Dmitry Zhukalin, the Head of VSU's Examination Centre, Associate Professor at the Department of Semiconductor Physics and Microelectronics.
