Between 20 and 25 June, representatives of the Institute of International Education of Voronezh State University took part in an Erasmus+ academic mobility programme at Ataturk University (Erzurum, Turkey). The delegation consisted of Associate Professors from the Department of the Russian Language for International Students of the Pre-university Training Programme, Tatiana Danilevskaya and Yulia Zhidkova, and Associate Professor from the Department of the Russian Language for International Students from Main Faculties, Ekaterina Orekhova.
During this short internship, the lecturers from VSU held a workshop for the staff from the Department of the Russian Language and Literature, established business contacts with colleagues, exchanged study materials, and organised a workshop for students. They also gave a presentation for Turkish students studying philology, in which they told the audience about Voronezh, Voronezh State University, short-term and long-term programmes at VSU, and the developments of the laboratory of new educational technologies of the Institute of International Education.
Ataturk University is a young but fast developing university with 23 faculties, over 4,000 academic staff members, and over 30,000 students. Erzurum is a ski resort and a tourism destination. It is a hospitable town both for students and tourists.
The academic staff from the Institute of International Education of Voronezh State University and Ataturk University expressed their interest in the cooperation in the area of teaching Russian as a foreign language and in publishing joint teaching aids.
