Voronezh State University signed a memorandum of understanding with the Higher School of Tourism of Troyes (France). It was signed during a video conference between the administration of VSU, the president of the international commission of the Movement of the Enterprises of France (MEDEF), Philippe Verbert, and the heads of the French university. Among other participants of the online meeting were the Director of the Regional French Centre, Elena Alexeyeva, the Dean of the Faculty of Geography, Geoecology, and Tourism, Semion Kurolap, the Dean of the Faculty of International Relations, Oleg Belenov, the Head of VSU business school, Svetlana Klinova, the leading counsellor for information policy at Voronezh Health Department, Oxana Kozlova, and representatives of VSU faculties involved in the cooperation project.
VSU and the Higher School of Tourism will implement joint educational programmes in International Tourism Management: "Hotel and Restaurant Business Management", "Business and Event Tourism", and "Medical Tourism". These programmes are aimed at training specialists who will have the professional skills required to develop and promote the tourism potential of the Voronezh region. The duration of the programme is one year. At the end of it, the students will get an EMBA certificate. The programme will be implemented by highly qualified academic staff from VSU, lecturers from the Higher School of Tourism, and representatives of the largest companies on the tourism market in Russia and France.
The developed joint programmes will be presented at the international conference dedicated to new technologies of tourism business management in autumn 2019 and are expected to be launched at the beginning of 2020.
