Between 5 August and 29 September, staff members from the laboratory of mathematical hydrodynamics of the Research Institute for Mathematics of Voronezh State University, Valery Lyapidevsky, Fyedor Khrapchenkov, Anastasia Ustyuzhaninova, and Mikhail Turbin, took part in experimental research at the marine experimental station “Shults cape” of the Ilichev Pacific Oceanological Institute of the Far-Eastern Division of the Russian Academy of Science.
During this period, a number of experiments were held dedicated to the study of internal waves in offshore waters of the Sea of Japan. As a result, the scientists received experimental data, the anaysis of which will contribute to the solution of important problems regarding the operation of underwater and onshore facilities and the environmental situation in the coastal area.
The obtained results will provide the basis for one of the sections of research papers within the project “Studying the problems of mathematical hydrodynamics” (contract No. 14.Z50.31.0037 of 09.02.2017) conducted at Voronezh State University.
