On 19 November, Times Higher Education published an international subject ranking – THE University Impact Rankings. Voronezh State University took 801th position among 1054 world universities in “Physics”.
“Subject ranking is an important criterion that tells a lot about the performance of the university. We are proud that our researchers’ work was praised that highly. Ahead of us is a new competition for the selection of national research universities, and being included in international rankings is one of the criteria of this competition. I can say that we are steadily strengthening our position”, said the VSU rector, Dmitry Endovitsky.
The authors of the ranking also noted the research in psychology, social studies, and medicine conducted by our scientists. They analysed the performance of 821 universities in “Social Studies”, 494 universities in “Psychology”, and 775 universities in “Medical Science”.
The ranking data is based on 13 criteria, with the basic methodology being developed for each subject separately.
