In early December, a thesis defence for graduates of the international master’s programme Executive MBA was held in the conference hall of the main building of Voronezh State University. This programme has been implemented by VSU since 2016 in collaboration with ISC Paris Business School, the leading European university in training top managers with international accreditations AACSB and AMBA.
The duration of the programme is one year. During the first term the students attend evening classes. Students from other cities and towns have an option to participate in extramural studies. The second term involves practical training at enterprises. The classes are taught in Russian by VSU lecturers carefully selected in accordance with the stringent international requirements and in French with interpreting. After successfully defending their projects, the students of the programme can receive two diplomas: an Executive MBA diploma from ISC Paris Business School and an Executive MBA diploma from the VSU Business School.
Graduates of this year represent different enterprises of Voronezh, including our corporate partner, OOO Atos IT Solutions & Services. In accordance with the requirements of the programme, the projects were defended in Russian and were evaluated by the examination commission comprised of representatives from VSU and ISC Paris Business School. The French delegation was headed by the Director of the MBA Programme Department at ISC Paris Business School, Charles Berger. The defence ceremony was quite dynamic. The students talked about the projects that they had participated in. The results of the projects can be applied at the enterprises whose employees completed the programme.
At the moment, the students are introducing their projects in the production processes at their companies. The presented works were highly praised by both Russian and French members of the examination commission. The joint Russian and French programme Executive MBA is a unique innovative form of business education. It demonstrates the international recognition of the high quality of education services at Voronezh State University.
The programme aims at improving the professional competence of the top managers, learning new skills, and encouraging further development. The EMBA programme is focused on organisations management, leadership, efficient management, and optimisation of business processes. It includes traditional managerial subjects: strategy, marketing, organisational measures, financial analysis, and others.
The programme is implemented and the educational process at VSU is organised by the coordinators of the project: the Director of the Regional French Centre and the Head of the Department of French Philology of the Faculty of Romance and Germanic Philology, Elena Alexeyeva, and the Director of the VSU Business School, Svetlana Klinova. As a part of his visit to Voronezh, Charles Berger discussed the possibilities for further cooperation with Elena Alexeyeva and Svetlana Klinova.
