Between 24 and 25 January, the Faculty of Philology held the VI International research and methodology conference “Issues of Philology for Foreign Students”. The conference was participated in by 93 researchers from universities in Russia and other countries, including the Sanya University (China), Hanoi State University (Vietnam), University of Algiers-2 Abou El-kacem Saâdallah (Algeria), and Kabul Education University of Rabbani (Afghanistan).
The participants were welcomed by Oleg Kozaderov, Vice Rector for Research and Innovations, Vladimir Rodionov, Director of the Institute of International Education, and Olga Berdnikova, Dean of the Faculty of Philology.
During the two days of the conference, the participants discussed the most urgent methodological issues relating to teaching the Russian language and literature for international students. They also talked about the way the Russian language is taught at universities in China and Afghanistan, and discussed the issues concerning intercultural communication, language, and culture.
The guests also visited the Ethnographic Museum and had a tour of Voronezh.
