On 22 June, a meeting dedicated to the Day of Sorrow and Remembrance of Victims of War took place near the main building of Voronezh State University. VSU Rector Dmitry Endovitsky and the university staff paid a tribute to the acts of heroism of those who protected the country and the university:
“Today is a very sad day. As is tradition, on the Day of Sorrow and Remembrance of Victims of War we meet near this memorial to pay the tribute to the acts of heroism of our students and staff during the Great Patriotic War. I encourage everyone to remember about this terrifying period and pass these memories between generations. Voronezh State University, like the rest of the country, survived the hardships with dignity. We hope that nothing of the kind will ever happen again.”
