The Russian Council on International Affairs presented a report on the English versions of the Russian Universities’ websites. VSU ranked 24th out of 67 universities.
The authors of the rating said: “It is notable that some universities have considerably enhanced their performance. For instance, Voronezh State University, South Ural State University and Russian Presidential Academy of Public Administration, among others, ranked 8-13 points higher.”
Experts have supplemented the document with the results of analysis of typical issues of the academic websites and provided their recommendations on how to resolve those, considered the importance of having an account in social network accounts as part of the universities’ marketing strategy.
The report summarized the new stage of research of the English versions of electronic resources of Russian universities. It follows in the footsteps of the reference report of the Russian Council on International Affairs entitled “Digital Internationalization: English Versions of the Websites of the Russian Universities”, as of 2015. As per the results of the research, the members of the Russian Council on International Affairs have updated the Index of the Digital Internationalization of the Russian universities, analysed the dynamics of the development of the Russian Universities’ electronic resources. The key purpose of the study is to help the universities become more attractive internationally, gain a competitive advantage on the education services market, and to develop a marketing strategy.
