The Faculty of Computer Sciences of Voronezh State University is engaged in active cooperation with one of the world leaders of IT market, Samsung. The cooperation is focused on personnel training in the most modern areas of information technologies. In the nearest future, a new classroom equipped with 16 high-performance workstations and 16 tablet computers will be launched at the Faculty of Computer Sciences. The university received the equipment as a present from the company.
The Faculty of Computer Sciences has already been providing joint educational programme through Samsung IT Schools with 50 students completing it every year. Students can choose from two joint educational programmes within Samsung IT Academy: “Internet of Things” (IoT) and “Mobile Application”. Every year, over 70 future specialists take part in these programmes. Moreover, the Faculty of Computer Sciences is engaged in cooperation with the company in terms of organisation of interregional school competitions: SmartStart and Moscow pre-professional competition.
The Samsung educational programmes are coordinated at VSU by Associate Professor Alexander Krylovetsky, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science.
