On 16 January, a training session within the framework of the Innovation League took place in the conference hall of the main building of Voronezh State University. Evgeny Gavrilov, the mentor and the supervisor of the Technopolis project, told the students how to prepare a project before meeting an investor. The participants of the event learnt about business models and ways to assess the market. The discussion involved the capacity of the market, the share of the proposed product on it, segmenting the target audience by price, quality, geography, and other parameters. Evgeny Gavrilov also explained to the students what business models are known today: filing a patent and selling licenses, organising you own production capabilities, exchange of assets, and team selling.
The second training session called “Business modelling” was held by Ivan Kurdukov, the founder of the branding agency “MY”, the organiser of the first Networking events in Voronezh, and a speaker for Youlead and Breakpoint. He told the audience about the main stages of introducing a product to the market, the existing business models, market segmenting, and the target audience. Using the market of souvenirs as an example, the participants analysed the stereotypes about the industry, the end product, the interaction between consumers and sellers, prices, and possible ways of getting the product to consumers. They also discussed how to build a team and organise its work, to analyse competitors, and to position their own brand.
