On 29 January, master’s students of the programme “Health Care Accounting, Control, and Analysis” were awarded with their diplomas in the conference hall of the main building of Voronezh State University. VSU Rector, Dmitry Endovitsky, the Head of Voronezh Health Department, Alexander Schukin, and the Deputy Head of the Department of Health of the Voronezh Region, Andrey Churikov, congratulated the graduates.
“Dear colleagues, friends, and our outstanding graduates! Today is a very important day in your life and in two related systems: the system of healthcare and the system of education. Today is the day of graduation for a pilot master’s programme. The status of a graduate of the Faculty of Economics of Voronezh State University is very prestigious. This programme is unique: for the first time in Russia we have trained specialists and managers in the area of healthcare, in the programme “Health Care Accounting, Control, and Analysis”. A lot of things will depend on your professionalism. My dear colleagues, I would like to thank you on behalf of all staff members and students of VSU. Thank you for saving people’s lives. The motto of Voronezh State University is “Semper in motu”! (“Always in motion!”). Don’t ever stop and continue improving your skills to become real professionals and to develop our regional healthcare system. Thank you very much!” said VSU Rector Dmitry Endovitsky.
Alexander Schukin, the Head of Voronezh Health Department, said that “specialists should properly manage resources”:
“I believe that after the training you have become specialists with a big S. There are no specialists with a similar qualification today. I would like to congratulate you and to wish you professional success and to be in demand. Let your knowledge contribute to the good health of society.”
Andrey Churikov, the Deputy Head of the Department of Health of the Voronezh Region, wished the graduates to “keep in touch with the university because you must learn all your life.” Larisa Korobeinikova, Vice-Rector for Economics and Contract Services, the Head of the Department of Economic Analysis and Audit, said that 40% of the graduates received diplomas with honours:
“These two and half years we have learnt a lot: you as students, and we as supervisors of your master’s dissertations. Without a doubt, all lecturers were very careful and studied medical books to be competent to supervise your master’s dissertations and to be proudly named “supervisors of master’s students”. We have created a unique master’s programme that allows us to unleash our potential on an interdisciplinary level. We have combined two areas of knowledge: accounting and medicine. Thank you very much to our administration for the opportunity to grow professionally. Thank you to the students for choosing us to learn from!”
