On 15 May, a large-scale event of the Association of Students’ Boards of VSU, “The Cup of 17 Faculties”, was held. The programme included a presentation of the team, a station game, a sport game, and a quiz. The event was organised by the chairs of the students’ boards of different universities and the Joint Students’ Board of VSU.
The event was visited by 110 students. Teams consisting of representatives from different faculties earned points at each stage. The winners were the participants of the team “Nightmare before Christmas” (captain Pavel Sukhanov, a fourth year student from the Faculty of Geology).
“Most of the participants were first and second year students whom we wanted to learn more about the activities of the Joint Students’ Board and the social life at the university. The teams completed fun and unusual game tasks at stations designed to resemble the worlds of Tim Burton. This helped everyone to learn more about each other, to establish interfaculty relations, and to delve into a magical world. Retro atmosphere made the event especially memorable. We would like to thank the Department of Student Affairs for their help in the organisation of the event,” said Matvei Mikhalsky, the chair of the Joint Students' Board of VSU.
“This is the largest event of the Association of Students’ Boards of VSU. Both the participants and the organisers were very pleased with the event. Next year, we are planning to hold the event again,” said Anna Malevich, the chair of the Association of Students’ Boards of VSU.
