On 11 June, VSU Rector Dmitry Endovitsky and the director of the company “Chisla” Andrey Maisel signed an agreement regarding the opening of a regional competence centre specialising on the technological platform 1C: Enterprise 8 and 1C business solutions. The meeting was attended by the dean of the Faculty of Applied Mathematics, Informatics, and Mechanics Alexander Shashkin, and the deputy dean for partnership and strategic development Konstantin Fedutinov.
“My heart totally belongs to the Faculty of Applied Mathematics, Informatics, and Mechanics. I graduated from this faculty. I would like to say thank you to my colleagues for supporting this initiative and doing their best to implement it. I hope our idea to create a 1C centre will be a success. The university trains specialists who will facilitate the development of the Russian economy. I think, what we’ve seen in the labour market for quite a long time is a large number of enterprises using the 1C software and a very small number of specialists qualified enough to work with it. I hope the centre will help to change this situation,” said Andrey Maisel.
