On 8 July, the results of the National University Ranking were published. VSU took 23rd place, which is one position higher than the previous year.
For the parameter “Education”, VSU took 14th position. Same as in 2020, it took joint 33rd position for the parameter “University brand”, and the 22nd and 32nd position for “Research” and “Internationalisation” respectively. The university has significantly improved its position according to the “Innovations” parameter (from 69th to 35th).
The ranking includes 341 Russian universities. The ranking data is based on published materials about the activities of universities, profile data gathered by Interfaks experts, the results of university monitoring by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, and the results of the analysis conducted with the help of the system of comprehensive news analysis (SKAN-Interfaks). One of the aims of the annual survey "National university ranking" is to find an adequate evaluation method for the activities of a modern university which would correspond to the best world rankings.
